Christina Tainsh
A Reiziger (traveler) focuses on my own photographic journey, highlighting perspectives on family, place and migration. It is a reflection on my own ‘Australian’ identity and the intersection of the multiple cultural lineages within my family. I aim to excite curiosity and questions such as ‘who you are and where are you from?’ Living in this diverse city during the COVID-19 lockdown allowed the time to investigate and connect with distant relatives.
I am an emerging photographer living and working in Surrey Hills, Melbourne. My work occupies spaces of personal and observational practices, exploring narratives of identity, culture and being.
