If you cannot get rid of the family skeleton, you may as well make it dance.
— George Bernard Shaw

The modern-day family is diverse and multi-faceted.

This ‘family portrait’ is filled with colourful and eccentric individuals standing alongside their comrades and kin; their similarities and differences are accentuated and celebrated. Perhaps this family is not ‘conventional’, but in reality, whose is? The complexities of the individuals inside the family sphere is what’s important. There are no ‘black sheep’; rather, the sculptures come together to make ‘a whole’.

The comforting and comedic nature of this series is the foundation for each viewers’ individual imagination.
