This work is a day by day approach to recording feelings and thoughts in an uncertain time. It comprises an eclectic collection of photographs created across various frames of mind. An image was captured every day to achieve an honest representation of this period. This is a curated assortment from this collection that best captures the spectrum of this experience.

My images capture literal feelings of isolation and alienation through distance. There are flashes of chance and absurdity, both funny and sad at the same time. All of these things part of our new ‘normal’.

Serving as a record of an unimaginable time, these images speak to my experience of managing my mental health during a pandemic, incorporating some of the pain, joy, humour and techniques for just getting through the day. Recognising the teetering equilibrium of well-being and stability, these photographs capture the mundane, the extraordinary, and everything in between.

As an ongoing project, a true endpoint feels elusive. But for now, the continual state of fluctuation in my work is enough.
