My work is inspired by my experience of having breasts, and I have made this work as a way of accepting their existence. When I was going through puberty, I realised my growing breasts were drawing a lot of attention. The Chinese literary critic Lu Xun was noted as having said that once people see bare arms, they immediately think of nakedness and intercourse (小杂感 Xiao Za Gan, 1927). Because of this, elders would tell me to wear something more ‘decent’ when I wore tight shirts or any clothing that was even slightly revealing.

In this video, I voluntarily present my naked breasts and transform them into playful toys. I video myself making paper handicraft DIY toys, I use sharp objects; a pair of scissors and a hole punch to carefully cut around my breasts while unintentionally touching the images of my breasts. This process has been my way of trying to accept and enjoy them.
