Atmosphere Absolute explores the relationship of light and water through macro photography in an artificially constructed environment. Coloured filters are attached to a submerged torch and the emitted light is reflected back to the surface with mirrors beneath the water. I have been drawn to the water throughout my life, and I found it especially motivating while pursuing a career as a sailor in the navy. Being submerged in the water shows a different world to the one that we mostly live within. I try to converge my two worlds of past and present together by creating ethereal, psychological landscapes.
