Shae Diana
My artistic practice explores environmental and biological systems. My artistic process utilises a connection between drawing and sculpture, combining the techniques of 2D and 3D art into a cohesive process to investigate relationships that occur within nature as well as the way nature interacts with external entities and evolves to overcome conflict.
My graduating artwork, Introspection, explores the brain’s psychological processes during the development of identity and personality through cognition, specifically the relationship between thought, emotion and behaviour. The idea is to investigate the complicated interconnections of this process that result in how one responds to a situation, whether negative or positive.
