I explore memories about place and objects to create narratives of people’s relationships with themselves, others and the environment they live in.
My goal is to inspire people to reflect on themselves through the projections of themselves in the things around them.
I’m interested in psychology in terms of how our state of mind influences our relationships with the outside material world, and how the material environment around us reflects who we are as an individual. Through my practice, I search for whether art can change perspectives through communicating about material projections and representations.
Based on my architectural design background, I combine spatial collage with surrealist art collage to create representations of a projected world.
The sites of my practice are various: public urban spaces; buildings; landscapes; individual’s living environments and also private objects. I research and reveal the memories of a site and build connections to the public by generating visual narratives and spatial experiences.
