Oliver Moir
My study of the arts has been complemented with an enthusiastic support of Melbourne's various art scenes.
I have been involved in Melbourne's underground music scene for close to eight years, and began by practicing more traditional forms of art four years prior.
My work predominately comprises performance, video, sound, installation art and stop-motion animation.
I have toured Europe working for galleries and participating in residencies, and have been fortunate to have my work exhibited both domestically and internationally, including in Spain, the UK, Portugal and Germany. My most recent residency was at Q-Bank Art Gallery in Queenstown, Tasmania, where I wrote, produced and directed a short film called Dreamland for a film festival I created called SNIFF.
My music has been released on techno record labels based in New York and Berlin under multiple aliases, including 'Flora Tucker' and 'Sandman & The Wizard.' My recent debut album I Rocked Till The Midnight Hour At Melissa’s Bat Mitzvah was released in September 2020 by the Melbourne- and Leipzig-based record label, Connection Verified.
Earlier this year, I started a record label called Funeral OST. FOST releases music that musicians have created for their own funerals inspired by the dichotomy of materiality and immateriality; anything from a body of water to mosquitoes in a wine glass.
