Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) video transcript
Hi and welcome to the School of Art Graduate Festival. My name is Martine Corompt, and I’m the program manager of the Bachelor of Fine Arts in the School of Art at RMIT.
It’s been a truly unique year, and what you will see in this exhibition is also unique. Our Bachelor of Art is made up of seven specialist studio areas; Ceramics, Drawing, Gold and Silversmithing, Painting, Print, Sculpture and Video. And what I love about our program is how these studios interface together.
You’ll see some remarkable examples of how students, against all odds, have focused and honed their areas of specialisation. And you’ll also see many works that defy categorisation, by students who have allowed their practices to fluidly expand and move between studios.
It’s been a strange journey, but you should feel proud and optimistic as you’ll soon be the inventors of this crazy changing world.
