This year my practice has explored the nature of my identity both as a person and through my work as an artist.

I wanted to create work that followed a narrative in a similar way to the artist James Jean. Through explorations of reality, fantasy and the idea of nature and humanity being in harmony, my work engages in a dialogue between reality; fiction; time; a story of my rebirth or awakening; and my English and Hispanic heritage.

My practice uses mark making to create movement and energy in every work. I have also endeavoured to generate an optical transcendency, using intricate detail and life size compositions to immerse the viewer. My visual aesthetics and the purely cognitive mark-making process fuse English and Hispanic cultures while also demonstrating their duality. Creating these works was truly a fulfilling experience, and I hope to explore these things even further in the future.
