I spent 15 weeks documenting and capturing the daily life of my family through one of the hardest times the state of Victoria has ever faced. Living in a family of seven who were at home 24/7 enabled me to capture the essence of human nature and connection. It is often said by my mum that “other things may change but we begin and end with family”. During lockdown this became increasingly evident as our support of one another was integral, whether in times of joy or times of sadness or anger; through it all our family were able to uplift each other.

Using a combination of both digital and analogue photography I documented the moments that defined our journey through the past 111 days. Using the technique of photographic storytelling this series embodies the dynamics of my family’s relationships and our daily interactions which have shaped who we are as both individuals and a family.
